The daffodils are bursting through the earth, there are baby lambs bouncing around the fields and it's almost time for Nick's annual bath!

We've had a lovely start to 2012, with some great creative briefs being pushed our way, giving us the chance to get a little bit arty and interesting.

One of the projects we were asked to do was a promo for the British Music Experience at the O2. It's a great interactive museum that provided a brilliant, if slightly distracting place to shoot - it was hard to stay away from the drums and electric guitars!

Working with DOP Mark Langton and equipment from Shooting Partners, we needed to show the museum as a place of interaction, learning (for school groups as well as the public), and cool exhibits. Hopefully this gets the message across!

We're almost through January and we've got some lovely news....

We'd like to welcome our new chap Tom Greenidge to the No Magnolia fold. He's our new camera & edit assistant and he'll be working alongside the rest of the NM team on the filming and editing side of things.

He supports Reading FC, enjoys Lamb Tikka Masala, is perplexed by onions and looks unnervingly like tennis-bloke Novak Djokovic... he'll be on a shoot near you in the near future!

We're working on some quite exciting projects at the moment that we'll tell you about soon, but right now we can't let the cat out of the bag... poor cat.

One of the most interesting was the Brand Licensing Europe event at Olympia.

Events company Advanstar asked us to create a video to help promote the show for next year, so we grabbed our cameras and popped down to Hammersmith, only to be overrun by giant costumed Peppa Pigs, Bananas in Pyjamas, Miffy, Daleks and the Cat in the Hat... a fairly surreal way to spend the day!

Seems only a short time ago that we were making a film about two people in chicken costumes, but here's our effort from this year. We had to make a musical, featuring a collector called Alistair/Alison Sanders, a brush, and the line "should we leave it like this?" in 48 hours.

Episode #3 has just gone live, and there will be an episode online each week of the Rugby World Cup.

This show is shot, directed and edited by the No Magnolia team, turned around in super-quick time so that the banter is still fresh and relevant.

It's been ages hasn't it? How have you been? We've been monumentally busy these past couple of months, working with some very famous faces on some great projects. Firstly we went over to the Isle of Wight to meet the wonderful Ellen MacArthur, to make a film about the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, her new charity which promotes the circular economy in business and education. We've also been working with rugby legend Will Carling on a new series of videos produced by Heineken called "This is the Game" - a series of webcasts over the duration of the Rugby World Cup.

Part of this involves interviews with some A-list 'slebs' such as Chris Evans, Rory McIlroy and Stephen Fry. Finally, Matt went over to Amsterdam to work with the superb ARRI team at IBC. Filming, editing and uploading product demos, and capturing Hollywood director James Cameron talking with the ARRI team about their new 3D camera developments. Phew! Let's not leave it so long next time.... speak soon! Ever.

So we set about trying to remedy this... However, with Thorpe Park being so expensive and busy, we decided to keep things a little closer to home, which is when Aidan decided to build one instead!

Using Maya, Aidan created this lovely little 3D animation for Nick... and we would love to take on more 'construction' projects for you lovely people!

So when Absolute Radio asked us to produce the online video content for their 'BT - Marry Me' competition, we put down our quills and picked up the cameras!

Run by the breakfast show team fronted by Christian O'Connell, the competition was held at Golden Square where 3 couples fought for the first prize of getting married the following day at London Zoo, with dress, rings, cake and honeymoon all part of the package.

We filmed the 'reveal' of the lucky winning couple, and then the following day we set up at Regents Park and filmed the live radio broadcast of the wedding itself.

We ensured all video content was online within a couple of hours, with the wedding being available to view before the breakfast show had finished!

Raise a glass!
