Chicken Run
Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 1:35PM We spent the weekend of the 23/24th of October running around Caversham with 2 people dressed in giant chicken costumes... (this is where you ask "why?")
"Why"? (Thanks for asking) Well, we entered this years London 48 hour film challenge. On Friday, at 7pm, we received our genre - ROMANCE, our prop - A BONE, our character - SAM(ANTHA) HARRIS, A RUNNER, and our line of dialogue - "I WAS EXPECTING SOMETHING BIGGER".
Despite the obvious sexual connotations of those elements (well, they seemed obvious to Matt...) we decided NOT to go down the mucky route, and instead put all our efforts into producing a short film which was a touching little love story about friendship, feelings and chicken costumes.
The film was finished on Sunday night, a mere 48 hours after the process began. Using our pool of production crew, some friendly actors and the No Magnolia shooting kit we made something we all felt proud of.
